The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC 2.0) is designed to enhance the protection of controlled unclassified information (CUI) and Federal Contract Information (FCI) in the Department of Defense (DoD) supply chain.
The DoD requires all vendors doing business with the DoD to have secure IT systems that adhere to CMMC 2.0 (previously NIST 800-171) standards and be certified by a third party.
SDLtek is currently seeking certification as a Certified Third-Party Assessor Organization (C3PAO) to provide CMMC 2.0 assessments and certification for DoD supply chain organizations.
CMMC 2.0 compliance levels and focus:
Level 1: Encompasses the basic safeguarding requirements for Federal Contract Information (FCI)
Level 2: Encompasses the security requirements for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
Level 3: Will contain a subset of the security requirements specified in NIST SP 800-172
